9th ONYX 2025 International Exhibition of Photography, Romania
A total of 427 photographers from 55 countries submitted images to this prestigious competition. Within the 'Nature General Section' category, 1,190 entries were received. Two of my images were selected for the TOP30 exhibition in Bucharest, and one was awarded an ONYX honourable mention.
Monochrome Awards 2024
On 12 January 2025, the winners of this international contest for Black & White photography were announced. I was honoured to receive an honourable mention in the amateur category 'Wildlife' for my entry, 'Eye contact'. The winning images can be found in the winners' gallery.
Society for Nature Photography (GDT) 2024
I am pleased to announce that I have been awarded third place in the 'Mammals' category of the 2024 membership competition. The Society for Nature Photography (GDT) is a highly esteemed organisation, with over 2000 members in Germany and 26 other countries. This makes it one of the most renowned and influential associations for nature photography worldwide.
Federation of European Photographers FEP Awards 2024
In 2024 the FEP Awards took place in Ålesund, Norway. More than 330 European photographers submitted over 3300 images. Two of my images were commended, both in the Wildlife category.
Best Photography Awards 2023-24
By the end of 2023, I had participated in this global competition for the first time. Two of the images I submitted were selected for an honourable mention in the 'Wildlife' category.
Tyrol 2023 State Prize for Professional Photography
In 2023, I achieved the greatest success of my professional photographic career to date. With the image Pandemonium, which has already received considerable recognition, I was able to secure first place and thus victory in the Tyrol 2023 State Prize for Professional Photography in the Nature/Wildlife category.
Wild Art Photographer of the Year 2022
I am pleased to announce that I have once again participated in the international 'Wild Art Photographer of the Year' competition in 2022. I am delighted to share that I have been selected as one of the top 100 photographers in two of the ten categories.
Both images were captured during my visits to Kenya. They exemplify the diverse and extensive image archive of several national parks and other protected areas in this fascinating East African country.
